Interview with Seung Gi

Chosin.com recently published a mini feature on Seung Gi in regards to his role in Brilliant Legacy.  Posted by yon @ Soompi.  Eloise briefly summarized the more interesting points.

On his delivery of the role of Hwan:
Seung Gi commented that at the beginning, there was feedback from some viewers that they were unable to immerse in the drama because of his acting. He thought it could be due to his excessive desire to do well that the danger arose. From then onwards, he adjusted his acting. He felt that there are times when Hwan could be cute and that Hwan is basically not a bad person. He just didn’t have the chance to learn about care and concern for other people.

On “Return of Iljimae”:
In 2008, he was casted for the title role of Return of Iljimae, However, because of delays in production, he had no choice but to give up the project. Seung Gi said that, to date, whenever he thought about this, he couldn’t help but feel regrets.

In preparation for Iljimae, he had not only read the original comic strip tens of times, he had also memorized all his lines. In addition, he received intense training in martial arts and horse riding for 3 months. Despite not being able to do the drama, he said that deep down, he is an ardent supporter of the drama.

On the song “It Would Be Nice”:
In last week’s episode (Episode 16) where he sang Sung Si Kyung’s “It Would Be Nice”, the song became No. 1 search in various internet portals.

New Album in the pipeline:
Despite managing only 3 hours of sleep a day, he came out with a new single “Will You Marry Me” on June 18th. He is also planning on a new album this fall.

Feedback from 1n2d hyeongs:
When asked what’s the reaction from his hyeongs on his drama, he said that his hyeongs thought Han Hyo Ju is very pretty, and they have been nudging him to arrange a meeting.

And Kang Ho Dong sent him this sort of message: “ Seon Woo Hwan looks terrific; Eun Seong is my girl; Seung Mi – she’s a liar, be careful”. Seung Gi asked (jokingly) whether KHD seemed to be too wrapped up in the drama.
